The right equipment makes the difference in any endeavour. Here is what I currently use. Each item has been linked to the source, so you can browse the offerings of these great companies. I’m not making a cent here from promotions, but I’m open to that.

My Easel – An Early 1900’s solid oak, folding easel. I use a heavy weight on the rear portion to keep it stable.

I am currently working on building a small studio space. The new studio will have a wall easel. Thanks to Andrew Tischler for providing insight to its construction. Here is the link for the video. Tischler Wall Easel

If you have woodworking skills, you can accomplish the same results, simply by cutting the wood at a 45 degree angle. Effectively making a French Cleat. Cut the cleat section long and attach to the wall with the angle portion facing the wall. Cut smaller 6″ sections and attach to the rear of the canvas with the angle down and forward mounted at the top.
